The Quaich (from the Gaelic "cuach" - cup) is the traditional Scots' drinking vessel for whisky; its distinctive style of shallow bowl and shapely "lugs" dating from medieval times. The lugs of the Clan Quaich are set with "cairngorms" and the recessed centre will accommodate the Clan Crest of your choice.Used by chiefs to both welcome and bid farewell to their guests, this quaich is beautiful, traditional and proudly Scottish. The word quaich comes from the Gaelic "cuach" for cup and is traditionally used to serve whisky or brandy. Sir Walter Scott was famous for dispensing wee drams to his guests in silver inlaid quaichs.
